General information for Exchanges, Returns and Store Credit

We must receive the item(s) for exchange, refund, or store credit within 14 days of delivery to you. If an item was shipped, delivery is considered complete when our tracking shows that delivery was made, whether or not you are there to receive it. Item(s) must be in new, unworn/unused condition, and in the original packaging with any labels (if applicable) attached.

Please immediately confirm size of your dance shoes by trying them on, wearing clean, dry foot covering, and standing on clean, soft carpeting. Shoes that are soiled, altered, worn on a hard floor, or show signs of wear, may not be returned or exchanged. Shoes must be returned in their original box. The shoe box cannot be taped or marked in any way. Marked, taped or missing boxes will incur a $10 charge. Shoes or other items that are returned soiled, altered, damaged, or show signs of wear or use, will not be eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit. No action will be taken. 

If sending shoes back to the store, please use an appropriate shipping box. Do not ship in just the shoe box. Customer pays for shipping to the store. Please use a traceable and insured shipping method. We are not responsible for loss or damage of shipments to us. A form will be included with your order, to indicate your preference of refund (if applicable), exchange for another size, or store credit.

In addition:

*Shoes and other items purchased online, through this website, may be returned for an exchange or store credit of the full amount paid, minus any shipping paid. Customer pays shipping to the store. The Dancer In You, Inc. will pay shipping for one exchange shipment to customer, if the original purchase qualified for our free shipping. Customer will pay shipping for any additional exchanges of the same purchase. Shoes or other items returned for a refund will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. Refunds will be given in the form original payment was made.

*Shoes and other items purchased in our physical store, or at an event we are attending are eligible for exchanges or store credit, only. Purchases made in-store, or at an event we are attending are not eligible for refunds.

Store credits must be used within one year.

Large purchases online: *For purchases totaling $1,000 or more, up to 50% of the purchase may be returned for refund, subject to the 20% re-stocking fee. The remaining balance of the purchase will be eligible for exchange or store credit. There is no limit to the amount of purchase that may be returned for exchange or store credit.

*Exceptions to the above: Items that may not be returned or exchanged; Undergarments, tights, hosiery, books, videos, CDs, DVDs, hair or foot care items, discontinued, clearance or sale items, special orders, custom orders, gift certificates, gift cards.
